In a story first brought to you by YWN, the NYPD has now released the following statement:

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying three individuals wanted for questioning in regards to the slashing of tires of approximately 40 cars in Brooklyn which took place on November 14, 2014 between midnight and 0200 hours. The incidents took place from Quentin Road to Avenue S and East 17th Street to Bedford Avenue.

The suspects are described as a male whites and a female white.

Meanwhile, Councilman David Greenfield announced that he is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for slashing dozens of car tires in Midwood last night.

“We must have zero tolerance for this rampant crime spree in our neighborhood. A single tire costs hundreds of dollars, not to mention the time and energy that must be expended to replace it,” explained Greenfield. “That’s why I am offering this reward – this kind of behavior is outrageous and quite frankly it doesn’t go unnoticed that this happened in a predominantly Jewish community.”

  1. Yehudayona. Go to a website such as tire buyer.com and see four yourself how much tires can cost. Of course depends on the vehicle, but a tier can cost well above $300 for some large SUVs.

  2. This is what we get with the most incompetent and anti-semitic mayor this city haas ever seen. Mayor Debustio is a disgrace to this fine city that coshares the Mayors Office With Lunatic Sharpton-. He need to voice our disgust and see how we could impeach such a lowlife Mayor.
