Israel: 41 Children in a School Transport Van

How many children can you squeeze into a van? Well, for Israel traffic police on Wednesday morning 25 Kislev they learned at least 41. That was he number of children found in a van in the Jassr A-Zakar local municipality in the Haifa district when the vehicle was stopped for inspection.

When police opened the door they counted 41 children ages 4-6. The vehicle by law may transport 15. The driver was instructed to step outside the vehicle. He was prohibited from continuing to drive. A quick check of his license revealed he has accumulated 36 violations.

The driver is been jailed pending an arraignment and the vehicle has been confiscated by police.
