After being released from jail last erev Shabbos, 19-year-old David Nachman Krauss, the son of Meah Shearim activist Yolish Krauss, is back behind bars.
Police summoned the younger Krauss for questioning on Sunday, 13 Teves, and he arrived with his attorney. However, a short time later, an officer from the IDF military police entered and they took custody of their prisoner. He is likely to be held by the IDF for not reporting for military service.

gosh, he would be a great soldier. I hope he uses this opportunity to join!
You do the crime, you pay with time. It looks like he’s working in the kitchen and he can do the same in an IDF on-site kitchen. IDF people like kugel, cholent, chamim, roasted chicken, etc and other edibles. He’s not learning full-time so let him put in military service, it will do him good to serve the country in which he resides.
What makes you think he’d be a great soldier? Do you have any idea what the army is looking for? Most likely he, like the majority of chareidim, would not be a suitable candidate (something the army knows but doesn’t discuss openly) because it is a formidable task to transform a gentle, peace-loving servant of Hashem into a killer.
