Lieberman Sets Party Goal at 16 Seats


lieYisrael Beitenu party leader Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman announced on Thursday 24 Teves his goal for the upcoming national elections for 20th Knesset is 16 seats.

The senior minister told the press that even though it may not appear doable at present, he believes the picture will change dramatically in a month.

“I was very pleased to see 65 people stepping up to run on the list. I was pleased to see this included Jews, Druse, Muslims, kibbutznikim and mayors; an array of people representative of the rainbow that compromises Israeli society” Lieberman concluded.

  1. Whistling past the graveyard? All of the party’s senior MKs have resigned and polls are giving it 5-7 seats with a consistent downward trend.
