Yishai: We Won’t Enter a Coalition that Evicts Jews from their Homes

yishaiOn Wednesday, 22 Shevat 5775, Israel’s public school system observes Gush Katif Day, which prompted Yachad party leader MK Eli Yishai to tell the media that he will not be a part of any coalition that evicts Jews from their homes.

Yishai added the eviction from Gush Katif is a “bleeding wound of Israeli society when the Government of Israel evicted 8,000 residents from their homes. This was an anti-Israeli act, anti-security and anti-society.

“Yachad is championing protecting the people and the land and will not be a part of any government that evicts Jews. We will oppose any effort to advance an eviction of Jews from their homes. Political inaction to these diplomatic processes represents passive agreement and we will not remain silent”.

Yishai was critical of the Israeli left-wing, who he blames for Oslo and the Disengagement Plan, adding “if they are permitted to continue chas v’sholom, there will be rockets targeting Tel Aviv, Ben-Gurion Airport, and Herzliya, and there will be tunnels under Kfar Saba and Ra’anana”.

  1. Unlike Shas and Degel he-Torah who are unwilling to enter a coalition that arrests Jews for learning Torah. Given the Bayit Yehudi is trying to go off the derekh (not all that successfully, and certainly not gaining votes as a result), Shomer Shabbos Jews finally have a wide range of realistic parties to choose from.

  2. Shas will give up Bayit V’gan to Arabs if it gets more money for its institutions. Yahadut HaTorah will give up Ra’anana to get more money for its buddies. So Yahad will give up Israeli’s arabs to get more security.

It is a matter of priorities…

  3. He’s right. Evicting Jews from their homes only leads to a sakana for everyone. The more you give these animals, the more Jews die, ch’v.
