Ichud Hatzalah reported on Sunday morning 2 Nissan that a mashgiach kashrus sustained serious injury in a factory located on HaYitzira Street in Petach Tikvah.

EMT Yitzchak Mechovivan was first on the scene at the matza factory that was in full swing ahead of Pesach. The mashgiach climbed into a mixer to give a final approval before it began operating for Pesach. For reasons that are under investigation, the machine began operating with the mashgiach inside. He was injured in his head and upper body.

He was transported by Magen David Adom to Beilinson Hospital in serious condition.
