Israel: McDonalds Employee Diagnosed with Tuberculosis


mcdAn employee of McDonalds Israel has been diagnosed with tuberculosis. Health Ministry officials insist there is no call for concern.

The incident occurred last month in of the branches. The employee was hospitalized on April 27, 2015 in Be’er Tuvia. When he first complained of not feeling well, he was hospitalized in Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv where the diagnosis was made. The Ministry of Health decided not to order the closure of the McDonalds branch after it was confirmed he was not in contact since he had not reported to work for ten days prior to being hospitalized. Ministry officials’ stress there is no reason for concern as the situation is under control.

Tel Aviv District officials of the ministry explain epidemiological were carried out as required, relevant agencies are involved and they reassure the public there is no reason for panic.
