The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following escaped prisoner in Brooklyn, within the confines of the 75th Precinct. The circumstances are as follows:
On Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at approximately 5:30AM, the suspect, while in the custody of the New York City Police Department at 654 Sheffield Ave, fled from police custody after bumping the escorting officer while attempting to transport the suspect to the 73rd Precinct. The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound on Georgia Ave towards New Lots Ave. The suspect is identified as follows:
Brooks, Gerald
39-year-old male Black
570 East 81st Street
Brooklyn, NY
Male, Black, 39-years-old, brown eyes, long black dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing red baseball cap, blue hooded jacket and blue jeans.

This is the net result of having female police officers on the force.
He probably ran back home, to the Bronx Zoo!
We have already exhausted our budget this past summer in searching for escaped prisoners, so leave Gerard Brooks alone.
What crime was he imprisoned for?
