Port Authority police say they arrested a man at JFK Airport after screeners found multiple knives and a stun gun in his luggage.

Port Authority spokesman Joseph Pentangelo says 43-year-old Karma Tarchen, of Burlington, Vermont was arrested on criminal possession of a weapon charges. It wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer.

Pentangelo says the man didn’t offer an explanation for the weapons and was placed under arrest without incident. It happened at about 9 a.m. Wednesday at Terminal 7.

There was no disruption to travel.
