Slomiansky Wishes to Extend Knesset Term to Five Years

SlomianskyMK (Bayit Yehudi) Nissim Slomiansky wishes to extend the term of national and local government to five years from the current four. He feels this will add a measure of stability to government, both national and local.

Interestingly, most Knessets do not succeed in completing their four-year term, but Slomiansky explains that even if a coalition falls, there is no reason a new coalition cannot be formed with the same 120 MKs and new elections may not necessarily be compulsory.
