Border police on motzei Shabbos manning an impromptu checkpoint near N’vei Tzuf in the Binyamin Regional Council of the Shomron, stopped an Arab driver for inspection. They found a Kalashnikov AK-47 assault rifle in his vehicle. The weapon was ready to be fired as a bullet was chambered. They also found ammunition for the weapon alongside.

The weapon and boxes and ammunition were found in the trunk of the vehicle. The suspect, in his 30s, was taken into custody.
