NYPD Inspector Placed on Modified Duty in Connection with Federal Investigation Into Department

nypdn1An NYPD inspector has been placed on modified duty in connection with a federal investigation into the department. Officials say 55-year-old Peter DeBlasio – no relation to the mayor – was stripped of his gun and badge Wednesday and transferred to an administrative position, but it’s not clear why.

The department also announced that Detective Michael Milici has been fired.

Last week, Milici filed retirement papers, but was suspended for failing to cooperate with the investigation.

  1. what a shame and chillil hashem that so many great officers who served many Jewish communities and they were always there for any problems in the community need to end their careers because of two selfish individuals who had their own interest and those officers fell for their friendship. I partially blame all the great askunim of the community who have such a great respected partnership with the local captain, sergeant, lieutenant, and officers. They should of STOPPED it when they saw it coming. They should of warned them and shouldn’t let them fall for those men. When I see Yanky Daskal or Yanky Meyer walk out of 66 pct I know its for the KLAL not for personal gain. Reichberg had no connection to KLAL and should of been stopped
