On Sunday night the eve of 29 Iyar, it was reported a bus traveling near Chawarah, south of Shechem in the Shomron, was hit by gunfire, damaging windows.

On Monday morning IDF officials probed the area after sunrise and determined the bus was not targeted with gunfire, but with metallic balls. IDF officials’ on Monday also clarify that while many reported the bus was carrying students, the vehicle was in fact empty when the attack occurred.
