IDF Chief Of Staff Gives The Okay For The Appointment Of Rabbi Eyal Karim As The IDF’s New Chief Rabbi

CaptureTo the surprise of many, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott has ignored the panicked cries of the left-wing and women’s rights organizations, preferring to see the true character of Rabbi Eyal Karim. Eizenkott has decided to approve the appointment, making Rabbi Eyal Karim the next IDF Chief Rabbi, and he will replace Chief Rabbi Brigadier-General Rafi Peretz who is stepping down after a six-year tenure.

Those who tried to prevent the appointment simply displayed their total and absolute ignorance of Torah and Halacha, and while the IDF commander decided to ignore their shouts and accusations, they may still turn to the High Court of Justice as is often the case among those wishing to challenge such appointments.

Rav Karim met with the head of the IDF Personnel Branch and explained statements made by him in the past and Major-General Chaggai Tupolinsky was satisfied with the responses. Supporters of the rav explain it is clear that a former commander of the paratroopers and Sayeret Matkal has a good understanding of the workings of the IDF and its hierarchy and to allege Rabbi Karim would not be loyal to the military is ludicrous.

  1. I certainly hope he will deal with this new fad of making some Charedi soldiers have their beards – as the new Rabbi has one

Anyway, he is supposedly Frumer than the one stepping down
