PHOTOS: New MDA App Provides EMS Agency With Caller’s Medical History

capture[PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE]

Magen David Adom has launched its new app that permits one to call for an ambulance directly from one’s smartphone. The app will provide the dispatcher with personnel information of the caller, as well as including vital information such as medical history, allergies to foods, allergies to medicines and more. The app is registered to one’s phone via a verification code and provides the dispatcher with one’s address too, all saving time in a true emergency. It also accommodates persons who are hard of hearing and seeing, enabling one to text message a dispatcher.

The touch of a single button on the app will activate a call to a MDA dispatcher and all the personnel information entered into the app is immediately visible to the dispatcher.

One may also send photos if one sees a vehicular accident or another scene which will provide a dispatcher with a real time update from a scene.

The app is available at the Google Play Store.
