77,000 Travelers Passing Through Ben-Gurion Airport on Tzom Gedalyah


elalOfficials at Ben-Gurion Airport announce 77,000 people will be passing through today, Wednesday, 3 Tishrei 5777 – including many mispallalim returning from Uman. According to event organizers in Uman, this year’s attendance was a record-breaker, with over 60,000 people on hand for Rosh Hashanah to daven at the tziyun of Rav Nachman ZT”L.

450 international flights will be passing through the airport on Wednesday and delays are most likely due to Israel Air Force air restrictions. The same is likely on Thursday as many will still be returning from Uman.

Airport officials report that 40,000 people flew to Uman from Ben-Gurion on the days before Rosh Hashanah in addition to tens of thousands of Israelis who traveled abroad.
