A 70-year-old Jewish man was attacked on Rue de la Paix Street in Strasbourg earlier this week in near the city�s main shul. The victim, who was hit in his face and legs was wearing a yarmulke when he left the shul. The attacker shouted �dirty Jew, I�ll kill you�. It is reported a few minutes prior to the attack the attacker cursed another Jewish man who passed on a bicycle.

Peretz, the victim, told police he was jumped and knocked to the ground and hit in the face and legs. �I was full of blood� he detailed.

Passersby phoned police and interviewed witnesses to the attack. An ambulance was called to transport the Peretz to a hospital. The attacker managed to flee in a vehicle. B�chasdei Hashem the victim�s injuries were only described as light.
