Policeman Wounded in Lion’s Gate Stabbing Attack [UPDATED 1:33PM IL]

1:16PM IL: [VIDEO & PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE] A policeman was stabbed and lightly wounded in a stabbing attack in Jerusalem, near the Lion’s Gate entrance to the Old City. According to Magen David Adom, a 35-year-old male with stab wounds to his upper body is being transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, alert, conscious and listed in light condition.

A 12-year-old Arab male is being treated on the scene for a head injury. It remains uncertain if there is a connection to the attack.

There are unconfirmed reports that the terrorist was shot dead.

1:33PM IL: Three persons have sustained light injuries in the stabbing attack, including the 12-year-old Arab male, who was also struck by the attacker.

According to police, an Arab youth brandished a screwdriver and stabbed one of them in the head. Police opened fire, striking him. The terrorist is still alive at this time.
