Arrests Made In Beit Shemesh In Chareidi Area

arrestA Jerusalem police spokesman reports chareidim blocked Nahar HaYarden Street in Beit Shemesh earlier on Thursday, 22 Kislev, with several dozen taking part in a protest against buses that are not mehadrin, separate seating for men and women.

Police instructed protestors to disperse, explaining the gathering was illegal. The protestors did not comply and an unspecified number were taken into custody for disturbing the peace. They were taken to a Beit Shemesh police station.

  1. Why does the city owe them buses altogether? If you don’t like the public transportation, REQUEST your mehadrin kind, and if you don’t get it – WALK!!! (Or go to work and earn enough to buy a car, that, of course, only males would drive).

  2. Let the buses NOT go through Bet. Let the idiots walk if they are afraid G-d forbid a woman bangs into a man as the bus screeches round corners. My experience? Fat bochurim taking up 2 seats where 2 women could sit because he can. Nobody stops him.

And how about men getting up to allow older or pregnant women, or who have little kids to sit down? No, they put their HATS on the seats.

  3. I was driving thru Bet, and saw the whole thing (caught most of it on camera). This did NOT happen in Alef.
There were only TWO police officers there, and about 20+ of these so called chareidim. There should have been a lot more police, and they should’ve arrested most, if not all of them. They only took 2 of them away.
It was disgusting to see these ppl call the cops “Nazis”. And, why did they all scatter when the cops came? Are they too afraid to stick up for their brothers?
Why aren’t they sitting and learning? Isn’t it bitul Torah for them? They have nothing better to do?They are disgusting ppl
