In a fascinating shiur, HaRav Osher Weiss, shlit”a, took his�talmidim at the Center for Kehillah Development on an enthralling journey, giving the�avreichim a glimpse of the considerations that a Moreh Hora’ah must take into account in�real people’s lives.

When do you rely on a lone halachic opinion? What was underlying the ruling of the�rabbonim in Europe to eat Chadosh? How did Rav Moshe Feinstein ztz”l permit a child to be�counted for a minyan, and why can the rav of the kehillah say a bracha when counting the�Omer even though he forgot to count on a previous day?

�The most important klal in the klalei hora�ah is that there are no definitive k�lalei hora�ah -�every k�lal needs to be examined and adapted,� explained HaRav Weiss, �We always need�to apply svara, yedias HaTorah, and the feeling and intuition of the posek.�

HaRav Weiss gives shiur regularly at the Center for Kehillah Development in Yerushalayim,�and this shiur was one of a series regarding darchei psak.
