Bennet Calls For An Immediate Pardon For Azariya

1Bayit Yehudi leader Minister Naftali Bennet is calling for an immediate pardon for IDF soldier Elor Azariya, who on Wednesday, 6 Teves, was found guilty of manslaughter for shooting an incapacitated terrorist in Hebron on Purim. The sentencing hearing is set for a month from now.

Bennet did not waste time, posting to his Facebook page immediately for a pardon for the soldier before his sentencing. He added “The truth must come out. The trial was corrupt from the get go”.

He called on Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman to work to have the soldier pardoned, a promise he made at the onset of the trial nine months ago when Lieberman was a simple MK and leader of an opposition party, not a senior cabinet minister. Defense Minister called the verdict severe but stated the court’s ruling must be adhered to. He called on critics to refrain from bashing or criticizing the IDF in the matter.

  1. Does he really expect these egoist well-bribed judges to release him? When will you have the courage to get rid of these self-appointed-judges-for life?

  2. If he were a terrorist he would just have to announce that he’s going on a hunger strike and Netanyahu would frantically release him
