There were a number of break-ins over Shabbos on HaRebbe M’Lubavich Street in Betar Illit over Shabbos in which jewelry, valuable and cash were taken. A sizable sum of cash intended for tzedaka was also stolen, one of the victims reports.

The break-ins occurred while the residents were in shul. They filed police complaints on motzei Shabbos. Police are working on the premise that the thieves are residents of the city.
