The Jerusalem Administrative District Court on Monday afternoon 3 Shevat ruled once again that afternoon programs may not close. The matter was adjudicated during the night at the behest of the Finance Ministry but teachers of those programs on Monday afternoon announced they would be closing nonetheless.

The court issued a second injunction prohibiting including schools in the city’s strike, once again at the behest of the treasury. Mayor Nir Barkat was instructed to immediately order the opening of the afternoon programs.

Despite the order, the afternoon programs in most cases did not operate today but are expected to operate tomorrow, Tuesday 4 Shevat.
