10:40AM EST: Kiryas Yoel FD is currently on the scene of a working fire at 3 Lipa Friedman Lane. Command reports heavy smoke billowing out of the basement at this time. Fire Department units are having difficulty gaining access to the basement. The upper floors of the 3-story structure are being evacuated, and it is unknown if anyone is trapped inside the fire floor. Mutual aid from Monroe FD has been requested.

10:45PM EST: A YWN reporter on the scene updates us that the main body of the fire has been extinguished – after gaining access. Boruch Hashem all occupants have been safely evacuated from the building.
