5:00PM EST: Commuters should expect extensive delays on the 4, 5, 6 trains Thursday evening because of an incident at a rail yard, the MTA said.

A forklift damaged the third rail at the Westchester Yard. Subways cannot get in or out of the yard, causing massive delays along the entire line.

Officials were not predicting when the problem would be fixed.
