8:00 am:
At 6:30 am Sunday morning the FDNY responded to a fire in a two story private home at 1149 E 17th Street. Upon arrival of first due units they quickly requested additional resources. The commanding officer on the scene (Division 15) then transmitted a second alarm. The fire was placed under control within 45 minutes. No injuries have been reported.
