In his opening remarks before the media at the Sunday morning cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated that if Hamas continues its rocket attacks into Israel, the response will be intense and “painful”, stating Israel will not tolerate a return to the situation as it existed prior to Operation Cast Lead.
