Wednesday Morning News Briefs From Eretz Yisrael


IDF soldiers taking part in counter-terrorism operations throughout Yehuda, Shomron and Gaza apprehended three suspects during the night.

** Following a number of rocket attacks into southern Israel on Monday night, the IAF struck terror targets in Gaza.

** Today, 13 Cheshvan is the yahrzeit of Yitzchak Rabin. An official state ceremony will be held at his kever in the afternoon.

** Arab youths threw rocks at a bus traveling between Migdal HaEmek and Nazareth, smashing the windshield. Baruch Hashem there were no injuries. Suspects were arrested.

** French Foreign Minister Alain Juppé  called to convene the UN Security Council to discuss the Iranian threat following the release of the IAEA report.

** Professor Shmuel Ben-Artzi, father of Sara Netanyahu died at the age of 97. He was living in the Prime Minister’s official residence.
