Wednesday Morning News Briefs From Eretz Yisrael


IDF soldiers taking part in counter-terrorism operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron apprehended four suspects believed involved in terrorist activities.

** Another possible ‘price tag’ hate attack in Beit Tzafafa, in the capital, near Gilo. A truck was set ablaze and “price tag” was written on the wall. Police are investigating.

11:15: An Israeli taxi driver was carjacked at the Maccabim Checkpoint by an Arab male who made off with the vehicle. The driver sustained light injuries.

11:20: Rock-throwing attacks near Ofrah in Shomron.

11:24: Rock-throwing attacks between Tapuach and Migdalim.

12:40: A Gaza resident sought by police for planning a terror attack in Israel was apprehended at an impromptu police checkpoint at Shoked Junction. He was turned over to the custody of the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet).

12:55: Firebomb and rock-throwing attacks against motorists near Azzoun in Shomron. Baruch Hashem there was no report of injuries.

** A man who burned an Israeli flag on the last Independence Day agreed to pea guilty as part of a plea bargain agreement and will sentenced to community service, not jail time.
