Sunday Morning News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


Over 3,000 mispallalim were at Kever Yosef on Thursday night marking יסוד שביסוד.

** Security forces on erev Shabbos destroyed buildings in the Ramat Migron and Ohz Tzion outposts.

** Sunday is observed as Yom Yerushalayim. Events will be held in and around the capital, including the Flags Parade which over recent years has been rerouted due to political and security concerns.

** 2 armored jeeps were stolen from the IDF Ketziot Base in the southern district. One has already been recovered. Military police are investigating the theft and the breach in base security.

** A police car was damaged by rocks thrown by Arabs in the capital on motzei Shabbos on Lochamei HaGeta’ot Street. No injuries.

** Yahrzeit of Shmuel HaNavi ZY”A. Many mispallalim are visiting the tziyun located on the outskirts of Jerusalem’s Ramot neighborhood.

** Three Jews were arrested for trying to daven on Har HaBayis.

** IDF disabled vets protest outside Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv demanding better benefits.

** Tonight at 5:00pm, Moshe Katsav will receive his first leave from prison, for seven hours, to attend the wedding of a son. Officials warned the former president that if he speaks with the press or is late returning to prison, he will be punished.
