Rabbi Elitzur Charged With Incitement For Two Opinion Articles He Wrote

Yitzhar resident Rabbi Yosef Elitzur is facing charges of incitement to violence related to two articles that he penned.

Attorney General Dr. Avichai Mandelblit gave the green light to move ahead with an indictment against Elitzur, article written in response to a petition filed by the Reform Movement to the High Court of Justice in which they accused him of incitement to violence. The case refers to articles written in 2013, following the murder of Evyatar Borovsky HY”D at Tapuach Junction.

Rav Elitzur was a rebbe at the time in the Ohd Yosef Chai Yeshiva in Yitzhar. The first article was written the day after the murder and the second for the shloshim. In the articles, he is critical of the establishment and the IDF.

  1. why doesn’t the Israeli justice department go after the incitement of Peleg group or the group in Meah Shariim who attack the IDF and their leaders with the same effort as they go after this guy?

Maybe the the Israeli justice department are afraid of the charadim?

  2. What business is it of the Reform Hellenists movement what a Rav bravely living in Itamar writes criticizing the Israeli government? It can only be part of their continuous attacks on anyone who observes Torah.

  3. Written in 2013? As these Reform care to go back to long gone days, then when will they take Moshe Rabbeinu, or for that matter G-d, to court for incitement in the Bible?

  4. To state the obvious, no one knows anything, nor remembers anything, of these articles. So by spreading publicity about them this way the ones spreading the publicity are the ones disseminating the alleged incitement.
