A handicapped woman in a wheelchair was R”L struck and killed by a vehicle in Rishon L’Tzion on Wednesday.

When MDA EMTs and paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the 88-year-old victim in traumatic arrest as a result of being struck by a vehicle. She was pronounced dead on the scene following resuscitation attempts.

Additionally, a 34-year-old woman with injuries to her extremities was transported to Assaf HaRofeh Hospital in moderate condition. It appears she was pushing the wheelchair at the time of the tragic incident.
