Arab Thief Dressed As Chareidi Arrested In Meah Shearim

mishtara2.jpgAn Arab thief was arrested overnight in Meah Shearim, except he did not look like a regular Arab thief – he looked like a Chareidi from Meah Shearim.

A source tells Yeshivaworld that people called police after seeing a suspicious-looking man pushing a baby carriage during the night. Police canvassing the area, spotted him on Rechov Shivtey Yisroel, and started talking to him.

They quickly realized that he was clearly not a Chareidi, but an Arab. They then looked inside the carriage and found it to be filled with stolen merchandise from various stores in the Meah Shearim neighborhood.

He was arrested without further incident.

    An astute observer might comment…..
How many people try to make a simple observation drawn from an unremarkable story and try to pass it off as the pinnacle of philosophical insight mixed with a healthy dose of self righteousness.

  2. maybe he really wanted to blow himself up & the stealing was only a cover – up, not to attract unnecessary attention……… 🙂

  3. please let us know how he was dressed.was he wearing a shtramel and white socks, like on shabbos.was he wearing weekday clothes ?

Reminds me of the Berditchve Rebbe (I think, or maybe it was R’ Yisroel Salanter) that took personal lessons from everyday conversation. e.g.: The shoemaker who asked him if he has anything to fix.
