Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat and Jerusalem Police Chief Yoram Halevy on Sunday 22 Kislev were quick to thank and praise the actions of police and civilians who were involved in the apprehension of the Jerusalem Central Bus station terrorist.

The two senior officials met with them to personally thank them for placing themselves at risk to apprehend the fleeing terrorist.

In this video, we see the terrorist knocked down and apprehended. However, contradicting his statements to the media and notoriety, we see taxi driver Yosef Ben-Amo first try to pull the security guard off the terrorist, who he is beating, unaware of what occurred, believing the two were fighting. When he learned the man on the ground was terrorist, he gives him a single punch and that is all. Nevertheless, Barkat permitted him to accept credit for his actions.
