(VIDEOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

Yossi Dagan, Head of Shomron Council seeks to beef up “Settlement” security with dogs.

The Israel Dog Unit based in Kfar Tapuach hosted Mayor Yossi Dagan and a delegation from the Shomron Council, exhibiting security and SAR dogs as well as proprietary technologies developed by the unit and newly acquired drones and thermal cameras that are being used to locate terrorists and missing people.

Yossi Dagan recently spearheaded a hunger strike outside of the Prime Minister’s offices in Jerusalem together with mayors of other towns in Yehuda and Shomron and with victims of Arab terror to secure additional funding to improve security on roads and towns in Yehuda and Shomron. He has now taken initiative to inspire volunteers to help secure towns under his jurisdiction with the use of specially trained dogs in conjunction with the I.D.U. – Israel Dog Unit.

In the attached video Yossi Dagan urges good Jews from all over the world to support the Israel Dog Unit (I.D.U.) in their life saving activities as well as to volunteer and join the ranks of the unit, “I want to tell all good Jews, anyone who wants to help with the security of Israel and anyone who wants to save lives and strengthen the “settlements” to support the Israel Dog Unit and all of their wonderful volunteers from all over Israel. I have seen here real life-saving activities through means that are not even available in the IDF,” said Dagan.
