New uniforms have been ordered for elite IDF units, uniforms that are better adapted to their needs and supplies they carry.

The uniform is adapted to the combat equipment and will have a rigid, fireproof and repulsive fabric. Built-in protectors for knees, rubber bands built into trousers, and pockets that secure their contents. The IDF says that the uniforms will improve operational effectiveness and combat performance over time and will help in the strength of the forces’ survivability.

The uniform will be supplied to the combat units, assisted by the equipment center in the technology and logistics department.
