Netanyahu Urges All Coalition Partners To Remain After Amended Draft Law Passes, Lieberman Threatens

The storm is still in full swing: Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a press statement on Monday afternoon 25 Adar: “Our government is an excellent government, and it brings tremendous achievements to Israel: in the security, economic and political spheres.

He continued: “I call on all the coalition partners, first and foremost Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, to remain in the government and continue this partnership in order to ensure security, prosperity and stability for the State of Israel.”

“We are facing great challenges and we all know of them, and also of great opportunities, so it is important to continue our partnership in a broad government that only can continue to serve the citizens of Israel,” he said.

Earlier today, the draft law was approved by a two-thirds majority of the Ministerial Committee on Legislation, in order to transfer it in preliminary vote in Knesset in accordance to a compromise reached with the Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael of Agudas Yisrael.
