Bennet Questions Those Who ‘Sit In Tel Aviv And Condemn IDF Soldiers’

Bayit Yehudi party chairman Minister Naftali Bennet has come out strongly against persons who are quick to condemn the actions of IDF soldiers on Friday, during confrontations with Gazans along the Gaza border.

Bennet is referring to condemnations against soldiers after a video shows them cheering while Israeli sharpshooters fire at Gazans trying to breach the border.

Bennet, who serves as a commander in the prestigious Sayeret Matkal reconnaissance unit in the reserves, was critical of people sitting in Tel Aviv and condemning the actions of soldiers along the Gaza border, stating his first reaction is to give backing to the soldiers, not to condemn them.

In a related matter, the initial probe into the video has revealed that the force which filmed the video did not fire, and the incident occurred months earlier, in December 2017, and not last week as alleged.
