VIDEO: Israel Police Fulfill A Dream For 3-Year-Old Battling Cancer

(VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

The policemen fulfilled the dream of 3-year-old Sahar Eliyahu, of joining the police for one day.

In the morning, after he got on the policeman’s uniform, Sahar Eliyahu left the house and went directly to the police car waiting for him, accompanied by a police motorcycle unit, and began his day as a policeman.

It all began when Sahar Eliyahu’s parents told the female policewoman in the Jerusalem district that after Sahar’s long struggle with cancer, Sahar’s dream throughout the period was to be a policeman and meet with the ‘hero’ policemen.

The “crowded” daily schedule was closed in advance, after all the police units in the Jerusalem district joined the mission and prepared for his visit.

Sahar’s visit began with the special unit of the Jerusalem district, where he met the policemen of the unit, took care of the police horses, and commanded the police special police vehicle.

Immediately afterwards, Sahar drove directly to the police unit where he met the police bomb demolition technicians, checked and operated the equipment and advanced equipment in the unit, items used daily by the bomb technicians.

At the end of the moving day, Sahar visited the traffic unit of the Jerusalem district, where he played football with the unit commander, received gifts and sweets, and was finally ordained a full-time policeman at the ceremony.
