PHOTOS: Blue Air Flight Makes An Emergency Landing In Tel Aviv

A Blue Air flight traveling from Bucharest to Tel Aviv on Sunday morning, 7 Iyar, made and emergency landing in Ben-Gurion International Airport, landing at 7:45AM. According to the pilots, after about an hour in the air, a fire was discovered in the plane’s engine.

The plane landed without incident.

  1. The flight time from Bucharest to Tel Aviv is 2 hours 40 minutes. If this was a real emergency discovered an hour out of Bucharest, why did the plane not land somewhere on the way? The pictures don’t show any sense of “emergency” either.
