Border police working with Israel Police and IDF soldiers conducted a counter-terrorism operation in Abu Dis on Sunday, 7 Iyar. Abu Dis is east of the capital’s border.

The operation continued for a number of days due to repeated violations of the security fence in the Abu Dis area of ​​the Etzion Brigade. IDF and Border Police forces carried out work to repair the security fence. As part of the work on the fence, there were several disturbances against the security forces, which responded by means of dispersing demonstrations against rioters. Three areas that were hit were identified and two main instigators were arrested.

In addition, an improvised Karlo machinegun was found in a house yard.

Another activity identified a stolen motorcycle. Border police bomb-demolition teams checked the motorcycle to learn a pipe bomb, two Molotov cocktails and fireworks were found inside it.

Four persons were placed under arrest.
