Jews Assaulted on Shabbos in Eish Kodesh

Possibly strengthened by the support given to their cause last week by Israeli border police, Arabs arrived at the Shomron community of Eish Kodesh again, and once again, a confrontation took place.

Dozens of Arabs arrived in a vineyard of the community on shabbos afternoon, causing significant damage, then beginning to pelt Jews with stones. A number of people were injured and at least one Jew was transported to Hadassah Ein Keren Hospital in Yerushalayim with a head injury from rocks.

The community appears to be the latest in the growing number of Jewish areas disputed by Arabs and in this case, the border police that responded last week responded harshly against the Jews – so much so that IDF reservists called to the area shouted at the border police, confused by their discriminatory actions against the Jews. The IDF reservists were shocked and pained by the response of the border police force.

Strengthened by recent decisions of the High Court of Justice regarding Beit El’s Ulpana neighborhood and Migron, the Arabs are now contesting the Jewish presence in Eish Kodesh, aware that if they can stir up the situation sufficiently, they will enjoy the backing of the Israeli left and they hope the court as well.

  1. This is a very long run-on sentence. It isn’t necessary to fit every thought into one sentence. Try breaking your thoughts up into smaller, simple sentences.

“The community appears to be the latest in the growing number of Jewish areas disputed by Arabs and in this case, the border police that responded last week responded harshly against the Jews – so much so that IDF reservists called to the area shouted at the border police, confused by their discriminatory actions against the Jews.”

Also, the last paragraph of this article is just one really long run-on sentence. By the way, a paragraph must have a minimum of 3 sentences.
