IAF Attacks Terrorists Objectives In Gaza Following Shooting Into Sderot


The IDF Spokesperson stated that terrorist targets belonging to Hamas in the northern Gaza were attacked during the night, Wednesday to Thursday, 3 Sivan, in retaliation for gunfire that struck homes in Sderot during the afternoon hours. Four different targets were attacked in a military compound, including terrorist buildings and infrastructure. In addition, three additional targets were attacked at the weapons production facility.

The attack was carried out in response to heavy machinegun fire at the city of Sderot and several shooting incidents against IDF soldiers during the day.

The statement adds, “Hamas is solely responsible for what is happening in and out of Gaza, and it will bear the consequences for the terrorist acts carried out from Gaza against the citizens and sovereignty of Israel. The IDF is determined to continue its missions and to ensure security of the residents of Israel”.

During the afternoon hours of Wednesday, 2 Sivan, heavy machinegun fire struck homes in Sderot. B’chasdei Hashem, no one was killed or injured as there was damage to a number of homes in the southern city. There were also gunfire attacks against soldiers operating in proximity to the Gaza border. Once again, B’chasdei Shomayim, there were no injuries or fatalities.
