Jerusalem Police Prepared For Muslim Holiday Of Laylat Al-Qadr


A Jerusalem police spokesman announces the department is prepared for the Muslim holiday of Laylat al-Qader, which is on the night between June 11th and 12th, Monday night to Tuesday.

In the department’s statement to the media, it states, “The preparations of the Israel Police, which began at the beginning of the month of Ramadan, are continuing in anticipation of the events of al-Qader in an intensified format throughout Jerusalem in general, in and around the Old City in particular, in order to allow fast entry into the Old City and the freedom of worship for hundreds of thousands of Muslims who will arrive at Har Habayis as well as holiday shopping. This includes maintaining public order, security, direction and regulation of the movement.

The Israel Police has completed its preparations for the events in Jerusalem, which will take place on June 11th and 12th during the afternoon hours.

Police call on worshipers arriving at Har Habayis to obey instructions from police and get off and return to the same bus stops for those arriving on organized transport. In line with the holiday, there will be traffic changes and one may phone the police 110 traffic hotline for information.
