Shooting and Stabbing Leave Two Injured In Israel


Police are investigating two unrelated incidents that each left an Israeli in serious condition. The first incident occurred on Sunday morning when a Bat Yam resident was stabbed. United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom emergency medical service personnel treated a man in his 20’s who was stabbed in his upper body and was in moderate to serious condition. United Hatzalah volunteers reported that the incident took place on Balfour Street and that the man was suffering from a full system trauma.

Later in the day, a woman suffered a gunshot wound when her car was fired at while she was driving n highway 444 near Givat Ko’ach. United Hatzalah Dispatch and Command Center received the emergency call and immediately dispatched volunteers to the scene who treated the 38-year-old woman who was also moderate to seriously injured. 

Police have opened investigations into both incidents and are pursuing all leads to find the perpetrators, but at this time it is presumed that neither incident is terror-related.
