The ongoing protests heard from the Druze community have led to the decision to increase security for Minister Ayoub Kara, who himself is a member of the Druze community. A protection details has also been assigned to his immediate family.

This past motzei Shabbos, tens of thousands gathered and Rabin Square in Tel Aviv to protest the law, and shouts of “Kara is a traitor” were heard.

In addition, there have been posts uploaded to social media, leading to Knesset Guard officials to place security guards with the minister to prevent any attacks against him as well as his family.
