Elkin Tells The Media He Is In Jerusalem Mayoral Race To The Finish

Jerusalem mayoral candidate Minister Ze’ev Elkin, in an interview with Kol Chai Radio, announced he has every intention of remaining in the race until the end, despite rumors that he may drop out early. Elkin enjoys the backing of outgoing Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, the Histadrut National Labor Federation and Knesset coalition chairman MK David Amsellem.

An election poll released this week shows the chareidi candidate, Yossi Deutsch, is in the lead with 23%, followed by Ofir Berkowitz with 22% and then Elkin, with 21%. Hence, as of now, it is anyone’s race.
