DRAMA AT THE AIRPORT: Everyone Ordered Off Overloaded Flight To Uman [VIDEO]

There was drama at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday night, as everyone was ordered off an overloaded flight heading to Uman.

According to initial reports, the flight was too heavy to take off, and it was decided to split the flight into two. Everyone was ordered off the flight, and there was mass confusion as to what would happen to the luggage already on the first flight.

A scuffle broke out with police who were called to restore order. At least one person was seen taken away by Police. It was unknown if he was arrested, or just temporarily detailed.

Additional information will be published as it becomes available to us.

As YWN has been reporting, approximately 30,000 Israelis are traveling to the tziyun of Rav Nachman of Breslov ZATZAL in Uman this Rosh Hashanah. More than 10,000 are travelling from the United States.

Wednesday was a very busy day at Ben Gurion. Around 90,000 travelers passed through the airport on 588 flights, both taking off and landing.

On Thursday, there will be 107,000 travelers on 650 arrivals and takeoffs, and the airport is going to be congested and most likely, chaotic.

YWN has been following another unrelated Uman story this year, where thousands of people were defrauded out of money by buying bogus tickets to Uman. Three suspects have so far been charged.

  1. please can someone explain the rationale to build up the economy of our grandparents murderers
how does one explain leaving eretz hakodesh for this

  2. This topic has been debated endlessly in past years. Just search for those articles or coffee room threads. No need to rehash the same old arguments. A Gut Yar to all.

  3. It’s very simple: Reb Nachman specifically asked his chassidim to come to him every Rosh Hashona, and promised that he would go to bat Lemaala for anyone who did so. Some people are his chassidim so they’re going to their rebbe. Other people may not be his chassidim but want that assistance, so they go too.

  4. 1) you mean leaving medinat Israel…
    2) as long as the breslever supports his wife and kids and pay tuition and does not steal my money he can go to uman gezunterheit.

  5. Just watch the videos posted under another one of the Uman articles and decide for yourself whether this annual meshugaas isn’t “Woodstock in Uban”. The major difference is that the guys in the Uman video have their clothes on. Not sure if this is what Rav Nachman had in mind but I guess their old enough to decide for themselves.
