At least 14 Jews have been detained and/or arrested by police on Har Habayis on Wednesday, 17 Tishrei, the second day of Chol Hamoed Sukkos.

They decided to prostrate themselves on the ground of the holy site during the visit and recited Shema Yisrael aloud, which is a violation of the regulations set by the Muslim Waqf Authority and adhered to by Israel Police.

It should be noted that Gedolei Yisrael throughout the generations along with the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, have prohibited visiting Har Habayis as there is an Issur Kares.
