New Jerusalem Express Train Seems To Be Plagued With Service Outages

Once again, delays on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv express train, which is operating on a limited route between Jerusalem and Ben-Gurion Airport during the trial period, which appears plagued with problems.

On Tuesday morning, 14 Marcheshvan, the train, which is operating once hourly between the capital and the airport, encountered delays once again. This resulted in the cancelation of service for two trains at 6:30AM, as repair crews were called in to address the problems. Service was restored two hours later.

Last week, the new service encountered three consecutive days of delays and outages, as was reported by YWN-Israel, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.

On Tuesday, a train that was on standby was able to respond and return passengers to the airport, permitting them to then seek alternate means of transportation.

  1. Some say (also “Rabbonim”) that the problems are in a way the “Revenge” of Shabbos as some of the work was done on Shabbos and there was no Pikuach Nefesh – only a rush to get it done

  2. “……the “Revenge” of Shabbos as some of the work was done on Shabbos….”

    Could be.
Could also be throwing frum davening IDF out of shuls on Tuesdays and Mondays.
Could be chair throwing in yeshivos.. and beating people up on Shabbos also.
    Could be that too.
